Dr. Tozzi finished his Orthopedic residency at the State University of New York, Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, where he spent five years in orthopedic training.
After residency, he did a fellowship in a joint replacement/comprehensive arthritis program (CAP fellowship) at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, California. Rancho Los Amigos Hospital, which is comprised of 200 acres of orthopedic hospitals and rehabilitation facilities; and is the largest orthopedic rehabilitation facility in the world.
He is a member of the department of orthopedics at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and has been for the last twenty-five years, the chairman of the department of orthopedics and rehabilitation services.

Dr. Tozzi, who is Board Certified and is a member of numerous societies. He is an orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in joint replacement. Dr. Tozzi is also fluent in speaking Spanish.
He is an active member of his community and is involved in fundraisers, especially in support of The Alexandra Rose Tozzi Memorial Foundation, of which he is a founder. The foundation was created in honor of Dr. Tozzi’s daughter who was killed in a motor vehicle accident and whose organs were donated so that others may live. To date, the foundation has donated over $500,000 to needy causes in the community. The foundation focuses on organ donation awareness, access to educational opportunities for children in need, and environmental issues important to the preservation of the beach and surrounding areas. Dr. Tozzi and his wife Mary Jane have three other children and reside in Spring Lake, New Jersey.
He is especially proud of his large family which, in addition to his wife and children, includes over 30 nieces and nephews!
