Toby B. Husserl, MD is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon with sports-specific fellowship training in knee and shoulder procedures.
Dr. Husserl has participated in the care and management of both operative and nonoperative treatments of athletes and individuals of all ages for 20 years in Monmouth County serving as a representative and medical director for all levels of sport participation.
His current practice concentrates on care of the knee and shoulder, utilizes techniques including physical therapy, injection treatments, and when indicated surgical intervention to improve the function and comfort of the patients from conditions or injuries of both areas.
He is a member of the Jersey Shore medical staff orthopedic department and has served as Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon, and welcomes patients for evaluation and management. His medical school training was at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia after which he participated as a surgical intern and orthopedic resident at UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, California, followed by fellowship training at the University of Southern California, Department of Orthopedics.
He returned to his native Monmouth County where he has remained an orthopedic practitioner for 20 years gaining expertise and insight in all aspects of management of orthopedic patients.
